Overview

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. They encompass 17 Goals and 169 targets, six of which are specific to trade.

Trade is therefore a crucial engine for development. With this in mind, the International Trade Centre, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the World Trade Organization (WTO) developed the SDG Trade Monitor.
