Regional trade

The Business Matchmaking platform allows businesses from the region to connect, showcase their products and services, and exchange easily using the automatically translated chat in English, French and Portuguese. In addition, businesses can also access tutorials and trainings on AI-powered tools on the resource section.

The Business Matchmaking platform was created as part of the West African Competitiveness Observatory under the West Africa Competitiveness Programme (WACOMP). It is implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the coordination of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and with the financial support of the European Commission.

The West African Competitiveness Observatory helps policymakers to define policies that foster trade competitiveness and value chain development, and supports local firms, in particular small and medium enterprises, to integrate more into regional value chains.
